Hi, I’m Alex’s dad, and I want to tell you about my true hero, my son, Alex. At just five years old, Alex already faced challenges most people never see. He does it with such courage that it brightens my entire world. At the age of one and a half, for example, Alex started therapy sessions, took small steps that seemed like enormous leaps, and celebrated small victories. Since his autism diagnosis, Alex has met every hurdle with heart.
As his Dad, I’m so proud to share his story through my book, Spend A Day With Alex: I May Not Say Much But I Know What I Like.
Alex is extraordinary. He doesn’t say much, but his spirit speaks volumes. Whether feeding animals at the farm or swinging high at the playground, his smile shows pure joy. I see courage in how he stomps his feet and shouts, “Here comes the bus!” as he bravely rides to school. At five, he proudly wears an “A” on his chest (that is for Autism), for Alex, and for all the possibilities ahead. He reminds me daily that being different doesn’t mean less. Instead, it means unique, special, and full of potential.
Watching Alex grow inspires me. His determination to learn his ABCs or point excitedly at an airplane window shows me what resilience looks like. Every giggle, every “crunch” of his favorite chicken nuggets, is a reminder of his strength. That’s why I wrote Spend A Day With Alex. I wanted the world to see the beauty, the struggles, and the incredible potential of children like him who are living with autism. I want to share with the world that children with autism are extremely beautiful and have limitless potential. This book isn’t just about Alex. It’s for every child who deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated for who they are.
In the book, you’ll follow Alex through his day. From sliding at the pool to doing his “potty time” dance, each of these moments shows how Alex navigates his world with autism and how he finds joy in his own way. His story teaches us to notice the small wins, like a thumbs-up at the hospital or a leap onto his bed at night.
Alex is my hero, and I hope he inspires you, too.
Alex’s journey has taught me to be his biggest cheerleader, and I want to invite you to join me. By reading Spend A Day With Alex, you’ll step into his world and see how love, patience, and support can unlock endless possibilities. It’s a book for parents, teachers, or anyone who wants to understand autism better. Get your copy today at https://www.amazon.com/dp/1967441367 and meet Alex, the boy who shows us that every child’s journey is worth celebrating.
I wrote this book because Alex’s spirit deserves to shine. His smile, strength, and love for life are gifts. He’s my hero, not because he’s perfect, but because Alex is brave, curious, and unstoppable. Through Spend A Day With Alex, I hope you’ll see what I see: a world where kids like Alex are championed, loved, and given every chance to soar. Join me for a day with my son and allow his story to move you.
